This is an authentic museum reproduction of the ancient Egyptian statue, "The Singer Imeny" (Dynasty 12, 1991–1786 B.C.), produced by The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA). The original black granite statue is on loan from the Norbert Schimmel Collection. Cast in polymer and finished by hand to resemble the original stone, the reproduction shows Imeny seated cross-legged in a gesture of reverence, with his hand resting on his chest. It features hieroglyphic inscriptions and is an excellent historical and decorative piece, clearly marked on the base with "MMA" and includes the original informational label with the full history of the artifact.
